The first thing you notice when you enter Villa #46 is a spacious hall. Off the hall is a sitting/bed room with a queen-size sofa bed. Across from the bedroom is a bath which may be used by overnight guests as it has a shower or as a powder room if you are having guests for dinner.
Downstairs from the hall, past the laundry, you enter the air conditioned master suite.
This bedroom has a king-size bed and a little alcove with a recliner and table with a lamp for evening reading. Across from the bed, on the large bureau, is a TV with cable. Off this master suite are a walk-in closet and a large bath, complete with whirlpool bathtub.
Upstairs from the entry hall, to the right, is the complete kitchen with all a cook could ask for. Next to the kitchen, within easy serving range across the beautiful granite counter, is the dining room, which, although usually set up for four, can easily accommodate six. There is an array of table linens available.
Next to the dining area is the living room, with plush seven foot couch and chairs and HDTV with DVD player and a wonderful view through the lanai to the mountains where there are beautiful waterfalls after a rain. The lanai has a small table and chairs for enjoying breakfast coffee or after dinner desserts.
Beyond the living room is the second, air-conditioned master suite with twin beds which can be arranged as a king bed if desired. This bedroom also has a walk-in closet and large bath with a lovely glass shower. Although the Villas of
Kamali'i usually attract adult guests and it is very quiet, there are a
porta-crib, a stroller, and a baby bouncing seat available for smaller guests. There is also a cot which fits nicely between the twin beds for toddlers.
If you want to cool off without leaving the Villas, there is a pool, with a Jacuzzi just steps away.
When you feel the need to leave the condo and golf, explore, swim, or hike, there are many places you can go quite close by. A 500 foot walk brings you the center of the Princeville Makai golf course where you can play the Ocean, Lakes or Woods courses. Hanalei, the nearest town, has several good restaurants, shops and places where you can rent bicycles, kayaks, surfboards or other water gear. Surfing lessons are available by
the wharf in the bay. To the west of Hanalei are great beaches for swimming,
surfing and snorkeling and the trailhead of the famous Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali Coast. To the cast there is Anini beach where you can rent a windsurfer and try your luck... or go fishing. A bit farther east is the town of Kilauea known for its lighthouse and bird sanctuary.
If it rains, and you want to spend some quiet time at the condo, there is a selection of board games and paperback books as well as DVD'S.
All in all, you will have a wonderful time visiting Kauai's beautiful north shore, and staying at Villa #46 is a great way to start your vacation! |
