Watch the sunrise and sunset just steps from your front door on the Southern tip of Kaua’i. Spend the day relaxing by the pool and watching the ocean waves drift towards you, or stroll towards world famous Poipu Beach.

This 2 bedroom, 2 bath garden view condo sleeps up to 6 and possesses the amenities you would expect from a luxury, 5 Star resort, including high speed internet, plus some extras that you might not expect, such as golf clubs, tennis rackets and boogie boards.

The master bedroom features all new furniture, a brand new king sized bed and Sealy mattress, 600 thread count sheets, down pillows, a featherbed and even a tropical weight down comforter.  Fall asleep listening to the waves crash along the shore.  The master bath has a rain shower and is newly tiled.

The large, airy living room is newly furnished and includes a flat screen TV, DVD player and sofa bed (plus an air mattress). Feel free to use the yoga mat and DVD’s to help you relax.

A gourmet kitchen has more accessories than you’ve come to expect in a typical vacation rental, including an espresso maker so you can sip your morning latte while watching the sun rise over the ocean.  

The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be made into a king by request and is a comfortable distance from the master suite to provide privacy. For kids, we’ve stocked this bedroom with a DVD player and VCR.  In addition, there is a pack-and-play for your use.

There is a large, private lanai that stretches from the master bedroom and along two sides of the living room.  There are several deck chairs, a table & chairs for eating outside, and a café table for relaxing with your morning coffee.  From the outdoor table, you even have a limited view of the ocean.

For the beach, we have provided beach mats, beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels.   Plus, we’ve added beach toys and snorkel gear.  In addition, we have a large cooler and plastic containers to transport your food and beverages to any picnic spot on the island. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the Grand Hyatt in one direction, and Brenneke Beach (great for body-surfing) and Poipu Beach on the other side.

The Makahuena complex features a large pool with ocean views, a hot tub, and a large sundeck, just steps from your front door.   Or, sit on the benches at ocean’s edge and watch the waves crash on the rocky shore.  The complex also features a gas grill and picnic/barbeque area, as well as a lighted tennis court.
