beach south Lydgate's lava rock pools is ideal for long
walks, very beautiful and almost deserted. You can walk for
miles on soft, fine sand perfect for walking, and you will
have spectacular views of Kauai's coastline, particularly
when sunrise or sunset paints the sky with gold and orange,
and deepens the blues of the ocean.

is a three minute drive away with mountain and ocean views.

quaint eateries in Kapaa, the greatest concentration of
restaurants on Kauai and only a mile from The Pineapple
House. Favorite islander eateries in Kapaa are: Mermaids -
with fresh, local ingredients making the chicken / fish
wraps and tacos so good! Country Kitchen has the best
Macadamia nut pancakes. Olympia Café has yummy pancakes, as
well, adding banana to the Macadamia nuts.
Opaeka'a
Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls on Kauai, are
just up the road and easily seen from an overlook off of
Kuamo'o Road. Walk across the road from the lookout point
and up the hill for another great vantage point.
