Pali Ke Kua #241 is a comfortable one-bedroom ocean-view condo located within the highly desirable cliffside community of Pali Ke Kua in Princeville on the lush North Shore of Kauai. Positioned above the Pacific, this inviting unit offers a serene island escape with beautiful views of the ocean, tropical greenery, and dramatic North Shore coastline.

**The second bedroom has experienced warmer temperatures than desired, even with a portable air-conditioning unit. A redesign is currently being explored to improve cooling and make the space more comfortable.

Until these improvements are completed, the property will be marketed as a one-bedroom rental, with the second bedroom not included in the advertised sleeping accommodations.

Inside, the condo is designed for relaxed island living with an open layout that connects the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The space is bright and airy, with large windows that bring in natural light and frame the surrounding scenery. A private lanai extends the living space outdoors, providing the perfect setting for morning coffee, sunset drinks, or simply enjoying the sound of the waves below.

The bedroom offers a peaceful retreat, and the unit is well-suited for couples or solo travelers seeking comfort, privacy, and convenience. A fully equipped kitchen allows for easy home-cooked meals, whether you’re preparing a quick breakfast before exploring or dining in after a day on the beach.

Guests of Pali Ke Kua #241 also enjoy access to the community’s amenities, including a swimming pool and hot tub, along with beautifully maintained grounds. A scenic footpath within the property leads to Hideaways Beach, a hidden gem known for its striking setting and seasonal snorkeling conditions.

Located in Princeville, the condo is close to world-class golf, coastal hiking paths, lookout points, and the charming town of Hanalei just a short drive away. Pali Ke Kua #241 is an ideal North Shore retreat for travelers looking to unwind in a peaceful oceanfront setting surrounded by Kauai’s natural beauty.

Perfect Princeville Stay 2026-06-15

By: Stacie S. Trip Date: 2026-05-26

We loved our stay here! We spent 5 perfect nights here. The location was awesome for all of our North Shore adventures. The condo was clean and cozy. Perfect spot to relax after a full day. The views from this property were top notch. Watched one of the best sunsets from the short walk to the cliffs one night. They seriously thought of everything you'll need! The bed, sheets and pillows were comfortable and high quality. The beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, umbrella and pool noodles were a great surpise. The AC did a great job and kept the whole condo very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained and the path to the beach was beautiful. (Although steep, it was pretty easy to navigate due to it being paved.) We would LOVE to come back and visit again! Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

Response from Remax Kauai:
Aloha Stacie, and thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review for this wonderful home. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and hope you will return.

Beautiful View 2025-02-17

Just like the picture! Loved sitting on the patio and watching whales. Property is well maintained, and really just beautiful. I hope to return another time.

Perfect Place! 2025-06-08

By: George A. Trip Date: 2025-04-22

We loved this location! Excellent views from the place. Beach chairs were available to go to the cliff's edge to watch the sunset or throw on your back to walk down to the water. Very relaxing. The unit itself was nicely set and the air conditioning worked perfectly for us. Host was responsive and accommodating. Our flight wasn't leaving until later in the day so we really appreciated being able to enjoy the last day for a reasonable/flexible late check out. Hope to go back! Thanks!

Response from Remax Kauai:
Aloha! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at this wonderful home. We hope you will return some day.

Beautiful view, amazing location 2024-07-17

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2024-06-27

This rental unit was great! It was very clean, and very well stocked. It had everything we needed and more. The views from the living area and lanai are fantastic! And it was just a short walk to beautiful hideaways beach. When we come back to Kauai this is definitely a place we’d love to stay at again.

Response from Remax Kauai:
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice review for this wonderful home. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return.

Lovely condo and beautiful location 2024-05-20

By: KRISTI R. Trip Date: 2024-05-09

We really enjoyed everything about the condo. Our only concern was the mold on the shower curtain. Other than that, it was perfect, down to the coffee and Kauai cookies waiting for us.

Kauai good 2024-06-10

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2024-05-28

Great experience. Lovely unit with a beautiful view, easy to access and good supply of utensils and cooking needs, pots and pans, etc. Clean and easy to just move in for the week. Good service from the caretaker.

Perfect Location 2024-10-30

By: Donna D. Trip Date: 2024-10-08

The condo was located in a quiet, beautifully landscaped location. The view of the ocean from the lanai was lovely. The condo furniture was comfortable and the kitchen well-equipted.

Paradise revisted 2025-02-03

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2025-01-10

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Pali Ke Kua #241. The condo is nicely furnished, with plenty of beach and picnic equipment available on the lanai. The kitchen is well stocked, and we loved the walk in shower. The view was as pictured. Easy access to grocery shopping in Princeville, close by to Hanalei. We would definitely return.

Beautiful Condo! 2022-10-27

By: Cara M. Trip Date: 2022-10-19

My family stayed in this little condo last week and loved it! We love the beautiful north shore of Kauai and this property and grounds are so beautiful. We used the private beach access trail and spent time snorkeling at Hideaways beach. We saw so many sea turtles! The A/C units kept up with the warm days (3 total in the condo) and the beds were comfortable. Perfect for our family of 6 we will definitely come again!

By: Jennifer D. Trip Date: 2022-04-16

We loved our stay here. The views from the patio are perfect at all times of day. The resort is lush and green and beautifully maintained. The condo is nicely furnished with a comfy king bed. Would highly recommend. Excellent communication on check in and how to get there. Only drawback is that we had to leave our little slice of Paradise!

Response from Remax Kauai:
We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay in this property.

Lovely Stay 2023-02-16

By: Karen K. Trip Date: 2023-01-26

We had a wonderful time! The condo was very comfortable and the Ocean view and sound of waves were relaxing. The condo was very clean and quiet, with all the amenities we could want. Loved having a washer/dryer. We had some of the best pizza ever just steps away at the Hideaway pub. Also loved the Nene families roaming the property (which we did not see other places on the island). Very good communication with hosts, and quick attention to a small glitch in Wi Fi was fixed rapidly. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, I hope to return soon.

Superb Kauai setting 2023-03-08

By: Lindsay A. Trip Date: 2023-03-03

After staying in 2 disappointing places in Kauai, our last few days were beautifully spent in this well appointed, CLEAN, classy condo! Even better than the photos. Spacious, quiet, very close to bluffs with exotic tropical surroundings, this complex has it all! Fabulous beds and very accommodating kitchen. Highlights: Explored Waimea Canyon and Tunnels Beach.

Ideal Condo in Great Location 2023-12-31

By: Michael M. Trip Date: 2023-12-06

Nicely furnished and stocked top floor condo in quiet complex and fantastic view. The 3 air conditioners were perfect as it was unseasonably warm during our stay.

Response from Remax Kauai:
Mahalo for leaving a review on this lovely Kauai home. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and hope you will return.

Wonderful stay & amazing location 2017-01-18

By: Christopher K. Trip Date: 2017-01-13

We had a wonderful experience at our condo in Pali Ke Kua. The location is absolutely gorgeous, and the condo itself was lovely with hardwood floors, modern conveniences and very spacious being on the top floor. We loved our time here.

Amazing condo, definitely renting it again next year 2017-05-11

By: Lucas B. Trip Date: 2017-05-02

This condo is extremely clean and well equipped. We were very happy with our stay and will be renting it again. Walk down the road a few hundred yards for one of the best sunset views in the world.

Very happy 2017-03-29

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2017-03-05

The condo was very clean and was stocked with everything we needed and more. There were plenty of beach chairs, body boards and even snorkel gear. We spent a lot of our time hanging out on the balcony whale watching. Staring at the water for only 10 or 15 min you would be sure to see whale activity. We saw multiple breaches and for a even closer view there is a nice hike down to the a picnic area near the water. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Pali Ke Kua 241 2017-06-25

By: James W. Trip Date: 2017-06-14

We had a wonderful time staying at Pali Ke Kua 241. The condo was well maintained and had a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the island. There is no air conditioning, but the condo cools off nicely with the windows open and the traidwinds blowing. We loved the location and would definitely come back again. Sherrie from REMAX was very helpful in suggesting fun activities for the family.

Great Stay at Pali Ke Kua 2018-05-26

By: Greg M. Trip Date: 2018-05-15

Recently we visited Hawaii to celebrate our daughter's wedding. It was wonderful. Our stay at Pali Ke Kua was convenient and comfortable. My preference would be to stay on the north side of the island and this location was perfect. It was a short drive to Hanalei, groceries, and activities. A May vaca was perfect for weather conditions. Don't be swayed by the rain - it comes and goes but there is plenty of sun.

Amazing Spot 2018-05-31

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2018-05-12

Immaculate condo with everything we needed. Location was perfect, parking and pool with a beach and Queens Bath within walking distance. The unit was tidy and modernly furnished. We slept downstairs but I can imagine upstairs is very hot with no air con...and we were only there in May!! Can't recommend this place enough otherwise.

Aloha and Mahalo Nui! 2018-10-09

By: christie w. Trip Date: 2018-09-27

This was THE PERFECT spot for a relaxing, quiet, peacefilled trip to the glorious island of Kauai. Beautiful grounds, terrific pool, the view, sunsets, nene, egrets, sunshine, tradewinds, parking, flowers blooming everywhere...easy access to everywhere. Clean, full of all you would ever need in the kitchen...beach chairs, towels, boogie boards! It's all there...and more. We are ever grateful and left with full hearts and happy smiles...our aloha to all who make this rental available and keep it so lovely! Mahalo Nui from our hearts to yours.

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2018-10-07

Amazing views & great location. We enjoyed our stay at PKK 241. The condo was extremely clean and well maintained. The beaches nearby were gorgeous & my kids enjoyed exploring the property & beach trails. The condo is well stocked with beach towels, cooler, snorkels & boogie boards.... my only suggestion is to update the beach chairs. We would definitely stay here again!!!

First Time on Kauai 2019-04-03

By: Janet D. Trip Date: 2019-03-18

Different from our long term experience with Waileia Ekahi on Maui with its multiple pools, extensive landscaping and well-furnished units. Our Pali Ke Kua experience was generally good. Disappointments about the property include the small size of the pool and pool deck, the poor layout of the pool seating, the lack of shade palms around the pool, the noise from the restaurant and the poor design relationship with the restaurant, which crowds the pool. Disappointments with the unit include the lack of seating in the living room (worked for two people but would not have worked for more), the lanai furniture (bar table and stools not comfortable for sitting and reading plus they blocked the view from inside, no side table for lower chairs so could not put drink down anywhere - we bought a paint bucket from Ace, no chaise which would have been nice for outdoor reading - particularly when the weather was bad). Other small details - need dish cloths in kitchen - sponges don’t cut it when wiping counter, need drain opener and vacuum had no suction - even after I cleaned it out. Otherwise, we were very happy with our stay and liked the unit/development.

Great north shore condo! 2019-06-11

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2019-05-30

Had a great stay in this very nice condo! It was comfortable and well appointed. ReMax staff and concierge services provided excellent service along the way! Views and amenities of the condo association were amazing!

Beautiful view, great location! 2019-05-26

By: Suzette C. Trip Date: 2019-05-16

We booked this condo last minute. The views, condition and amenities were exactly as advertised. The king bed was very comfortable, nice sheets and bedding. The only thing that should be improved is the internet, the DVD player didn’t work when we rented red box movies one night and the kitchen knives were dangerously dull. Would have liked to used the body boards but they were all broken except one. So a little attention to these details would be good. But very nice, cheerful, comfy decor and the location was very ideal for visits to Hanalei Bay and nearby hikes, beaches and waterfalls! A/C would have been good, it was quite hot, but we were aware there was none. The fans were appreciated! Unit was nice and clean. We really got lucky to find this great condo for our last minute island change!! I gave all five stars because I know its hard to keep up on every little detail. Overall, super happy!!

Fun, relaxing time in paradise 2020-03-27

By: Cindy G. Trip Date: 2020-01-22

Pali Ke Kua 241 was a great home away from home for almost two months. It’s location included a beautiful view, a nice North Kauai location and a clean, well-equipped condo. The kitchen was well-stocked with nice appliances. There was no air conditioning but the ocean breezes kept the temperatures comfortable.
We certainly hope to stay in this condo again.

Beautiful place and stay 2021-08-02

By: Andrea S. Trip Date: 2021-07-21

This condo is so beautiful. We loved drinking our coffee out on the deck every morning listening to the birds, watching the rain come in and enjoying the ocean. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was great and had all that we needed. There was beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels to use. They also had lunch bags and freezer packs so we could pack lunches or picnics for the days we were out. It would be nice to have cable in the unit for the evenings we were very tired, there was only three channels.

The path down to the private beach is pretty steep, but very worth it once you get down there. We snorkeled down there and saw turtles.

The unit was in a great location and we got to see great sunsets every night. I would stay here again for sure.

We found the condo to very be comfortable, and well equipped. We loved being able to eat breakfast on the patio and watch the whales blow. It was perfectly located to explore the northern end of Kauai.

PKK 241 2013-04-22

By: David N. Trip Date: 2013-04-13

The location was superb and it was great having the path to the beach (although very steep). The condo itself was adequate, but we felt a little more attention to detail would have been good. For example, the bottom lock on the door never did work, even though someone came to fix it (He looked at it, said it works, and left without even trying it), the toaster only toasted one half of the bread, the plug in the bathroom didn't work, the light in the shower was out, we had to call housekeeping to get more soap (the little tiny hotel size soap), and were informed that we were supposed to provide our own hand soap(really? We've stayed at many condos, and that has never happened) I must add that housekeeping DID bring us some soap anyway. Just little things like that that were a little annoying, but nothing can detract from the beauty of Kauai and the great location.

Another Glorious Kauai Holiday 2014-03-15

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2014-02-25

We come to the islands about 2/yr, the last few years in Princeville. We really like the location of Pali Ke Kua and this unit was set looking out to the ocean and the lawn below, just great. It had all the ammenities we needed, was clean, the property managment staff helpful, and we're already planning our next trip hoping this unit will be available! Thanks very much.

By: Christina H. Trip Date: 2015-03-26

We are a family of 5, 2 adults, 3 kids. The condo was perfect. It had everything we needed, plus a beautiful view. Check-in was super-easy. Five minutes drive to Hanalei, 10 minutes to Anini Beach. Walking distance to the St. Regis. Beaches nearby are beautiful, but not good for kids in Winter.

Beautiful and Serene Location 2015-01-30

By: Tim S. Trip Date: 2015-01-24

This property is in a fantastic location. Broad ocean view. Close walk to view Hanalei Bay. Very quiet and serene. Nearby trail to the beach. Short drive to grocery store and restaurants.

Perfect Getaway 2015-03-22

By: John F. Trip Date: 2015-03-12

We stayed in unit #241 in mid March 2015 and had a wonderful stay. The unit was exactly what we were looking for to house our family of 4. The unit was well appointed, The beds were very comfortable, the unit was clean and contained all the kitchen amenities you could need. The unit even has beach chairs, beach towels and even a boogie board & fins. The television was a newer flat screen, not the one pictured on the website. There was a DVD player as well as great WIFI access. There are plenty of ceiling fans as well as portable fans for cooling. The unit location is perfect for ocean view and ocean cooling breezes. Overall we had a great experience and loved the unit. We will be back in the future.

Good value in Princeville 2015-06-12

By: Alberto Z. Trip Date: 2015-05-31

We enjoyed our stay in the condo. the condo is relatively well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped for making meals at home. Having a boogie board to use was nice. Princeville is a great location for enjoying Kauai's North shore. We experienced some unseasonably warm weather while we were there, as the trade winds were not blowing for several days, and the upstairs loft got very hot. The condo gets full sun, so keeping the blinds closed during the hottest part of the day was essential.

Gorgeous condo, very comfortable 2015-09-01

By: Carol S. Trip Date: 2015-08-13

We stayed at Pali Ke Kuo 241 for only 3 nights, but I wish it could have been longer! Access was very easy via lockbox. It was a well appointed condo with all of the amenities that a family of 4 could ask for. The pool was nice and not too crowded, we loved having our own washer/dryer and loft space for the kids. Also, it was really nice to have the pizza joint right there in the same complex. It was quite hot while we were there, but the staff had courteously turned on all of the fans before our arrival, so the condo was only moderately hot. :) The only thing I might add would be A/C in main room, although I totally understand the challenges involved.

The staff were very kind and contacted me several days later to see if some items they'd found belonged to us (which they did not). I appreciated their taking that extra step for their guests.

Thanks for a great stay!

Nice Property 2016-01-24

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2015-10-24

We spent a week in unit 241 in October. Great location within Princeville to walk to many beautiful are as such as Queensbath, Hideaway, St. Regis... (I'm sure I'm missing a few) we didn't use the loft/2nd bedroom since it was just the 2 of us, but we enjoyed the space and sitting on the lanai in the morning with our breakfast and coffee looking at the water. I loved having the washer and dryer in the unit. The only draw back is that its set back a little so you don't quite hear the waves. However, its a very clean property and management company was very accommodating.

Response from Remax Kauai:
Aloha and Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent stay at Pali Ke Kua #241. We are so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed the property, amenities and location. We hope to see you again in the near future. -Tamee D. RE/MAX Kauai

Relaxing Kauai Retreat 2016-04-05

By: Charlotte M. Trip Date: 2016-03-26

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Pali Ke Kua complex. The location was fabulous, and the condo was very nicely appointed. Our only complaint would be the lack of a stocked pantry. (salt, pepper, spices, olive oil, etc.) Having to purchase the basic items made our food bills a bit higher than we were anticipating. We always stay in condos so we can cook our own meals, and usually the basics are in the pantry.

Other than that, everything was fabulous. We will definitely return to Pali Ke Kua in the future, it was a great experience.

The property was in a great location! Loved being on the north coast! It was perfect for what we needed. One thing we would have loved to have was an electric BBQ ??

By: Christina B. Trip Date: 2016-06-28

The place was wonderful. My mother, sister, daughter and myself stayed here. The downstairs room was great for my mom. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The views were amazing to wake up to. It got a bit warm but we kept the windows open the entire time and pulled the outdoor shades in the afternoon. I can't wait to come back. Princeville was beautiful.

We had a great time. The unit was better in person than we could have imagined. We also received a lot of help from John (our Concierge) in planning our wedding details. We can't wait to come back.

Nice location in Princeville 2016-07-07

By: Melissa S. Trip Date: 2016-06-20

We had a great vacation on Kauai. We were 2 moms traveling with 4 teens. This rental provided good space for us with the kids in the loft with their own bathroom. This rental is a bit worn and dated with no AC, but the price was very reasonable for the great location. The lack of AC was mostly a problem in the afternoon and early evening. We had no problems sleeping as it cooled down at night (loft is warmer than downstairs). The pool and landscaping were very nice, and we enjoyed the pizza restaurant nearby. There's so much to do in this area or a short drive, and every view is beautiful!

The only thing missing from the condo was the key for the pool. We had to go to the front desk to get another. Otherwise, the stay was awesome! I'd definitely stay again:)

Loved our stay 2025-06-27

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2025-06-22

We had a great stay at Pali Ke Kua. The grounds are beautiful with fantastic views and the location is ideal for exploring beaches and activities around Princeville. The unit accommodations were comfortable and clean with a nice layout. The only challenging aspect is the upstairs loft, which can be overwhelmingly hot, particularly in the afternoon. There is a portable AC unit in the room but it was putting out mostly warm air (likely from overwork). We are from Seattle so likely more sensitive to heat than most visitors. Other than that, everything else was wonderful.

Response from Remax Kauai:
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so glad you enjoyed this wonderful home. We are sorry to hear the A/C unit was not performing adequately during your visit; it has since been replaced.

Overcame an initial snag for a great stay 2024-07-27

By: Brent J. Trip Date: 2024-07-21

The windows were closed & A/C units turned off so we arrived to 87 degrees inside. Re/Max did give us a partial refund so they made it better. The view is wonderful and the beds quite comfortable. It would be helpful to have a manual on the portable A/C units. It seemed like they ran all the time unless we manually turned them off. The beach towels and chairs were very helpful as well. Close access to Hideaways Beach and Hanalei Bay too!

Great place, loud air conditioning 2024-09-29

By: Scott T. Trip Date: 2024-09-22

Everything was great, except the air-conditioning. There are three after market floor air-conditioners that are very loud. They barely keep up with the afternoon heat. We had to turn off the bedroom unit to sleep and the turn off the living room unit when we were awake. Not much to be done about it. Renters just need to be ready for it.

Response from Remax Kauai:
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed your overall experience! We apologize for the issues you encountered with the air conditioning units. We understand how important a comfortable environment is, especially during the warm afternoons. Your comments about the noise and effectiveness of the floor units are valuable, and we will certainly take them into consideration as we look for ways to improve our accommodations. We appreciate your understanding and hope that despite the challenges, you were still able to enjoy your time here. If you decide to visit us again in the future, please do not hesitate to reach out directly. We would love to ensure that your next stay is even more comfortable. Thank you once again for your feedback, and safe travels! - RE/MAX Kauai

Great spot in Princeville! 2024-09-10

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2024-08-21

We had a great stay at this location in Princeville. The condo was clean and had everything we expected and needed. Thank goodness for the air conditioning - even with air conditioners on full blast, this place gets WARM (visited during August). There was no breeze any of the nights we were there.

Couple of items: the "private beach" associated with Pali Ke Kua was cool, but it was a pretty steep walk on a paved path - we are a young family and had no issues navigating it, but anyone with issues walking or balance should be aware. It is STEEP. You should note that the only BBQs are also at the bottom of this very steep path. There are no BBQ grills elsewhere on the property. And by BBQ grill, they mean a cement structure that you can haul BBQ briquets down the hill to use. We love grilling so were disappointed that there was not location to grill close to the condo (which is super common across Hawaii). The beach itself is cool, with course sand and quite a bit of black lava rock structures. We visited 1x in our 5 day stay. There are much better beaches to visit.

Skip the pizza place on site. Instead, go to Wiki Pizza at the Hanalei Bay Resort. You get Pizza and views of Hanalei Bay!

Kids loved the pool, which was very comfortable. I will say that the lights come on at the pool far to late... the sun sets in Hawaii at 7pm. Pool area was completely dark for 30+ minutes before the lights came on - this is a safety hazard!

Lovely Condo 2022-01-05

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2021-12-26

This condo is in a great location with beach access and a nice view. It's very clean with everything you need for an extended stay. We had some issues with the back door and the front door locks not working. It was a little bit of a pain to take all our valuables everywhere we went. We stayed during the holiday so they could not get people to come out and fix it while we were there. I would stay here again.

Prineville condo 2023-03-19

By: Arlene B. Trip Date: 2023-03-10

The condo was lovely and location great. There were chairs for the beach and everything we needed including a washer and dryer in the unit which was a bonus. The only negative was the dishwasher filter which may never had been cleaned out since purchase. Once it was scrubbed the dishwasher cleaned better, but it needs more attention that we could give and frequently cleaning. We have found this a common problem in rental units unfortunately. The actual rental process was quite confusing with the real estate company as a well as booking .com involved and and excessive amount of paperwork to get the job done. There also were excessive and repetitive emails, often several per day, from the time we rented and even after we had completed our stay. Once I actually was able to talk with ReMax the staff, they were very helpful but there was way more work than a regular rental. We had a great time here and the sunsets there were amazing. Overall I would highly recommend this rental but it would be nice to have the other minor issues addressed.

Steckel Family Hawaiian Vacation 2017-04-21

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2017-03-25

It was a nice unit. It met our needs and was comfortable. We had issues with wifi, but oh well. There were a few minor details that were a little frustrating, but nothing that detracted from our experience.

Good view 2017-11-07

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2017-10-14

Property and grounds really good. But there is no usable beach not even for wading. The BBQ area is old and not worth using! Both were very disappointing. #241 is a very nice unit with an ocean view.

Fantastic North Shore Location with Private Access to Beach 2017-07-06

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2017-05-27

For our honeymoon, this is a great location with easy access to Hanalei and phenomenal sunset views. We could quickly get out to all the prime north shore locations including Ne Pali coast, tunnels beach, and a short walk to Queen's bath. This location also has a guest only to paved access path to Hideway beach, which is calm with great reefs for snorkeling. The only knocks are that our second floor room got pretty hot in the afternoon though it would cool down fairly quickly after sunset. Also, the noise from adjacent units travels fairly easily. All in all, Pali Ke Kua provides excellent quality for the price. We strongly recommend this location.

Pali Ke Kua 241 2017-10-08

By: Chris P. Trip Date: 2017-09-29

The location of the condo can't be beat for the views of the sea. Also the closeness to shopping and Hanalei is great. The condo was clean and well stocked. The only thing that could use an upgrade are the bathrooms and showers. Not required, however a nice change would be an air conditioner for the bedroom.
Thanks for a great stay.

Everything we needed.....except A/C 2018-06-07

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2018-05-30

Finding and gaining access to the rental was easy. The only hiccup we had was that I assumed everything on the island would have A/C. We arrived late afternoon to allblinds and window open and the afternoon sun blazing in. It made for a rough start but as we settled in and the sun set, we enjoyed our stay. Property management was very pleasant and responsive to every question. The unit had nice touches like coffee and cookies and starter laundry soaps, beach towels and chairs. It was wonderful to have space to spread out and a beautiful, quiet patio to relax on. Everything was clean and comfortable. Kauai is simply paradise!

Our stay for my wife’s 50th 2018-10-10

By: Gary G. Trip Date: 2018-09-19

Kauai from the cliffs 2019-05-01

By: Ross H. Trip Date: 2019-04-02

Our first trip and what a beautiful Island a paradise Kauai is. We arrived at night so waking up to the amazing view from the balcony was special. Hideaway beach was quiet and beautiful even though it was a bit of steep down and up hill. Location was good though we'll probably aim a bit further south next time as more warmer sunny days. Condo was nice a bit tricky to find late at night.

Pros:
• View was beautiful
• Pool was amazing and almost private a lot of time
• Clean
• Private beach was close
• Great place for Hanalei
• The app was useful and a great pre trip information

Cons
• Would be nice to have a barbecue as saw them on other balconies.
• More beach items including chairs would of been good.
• Internet kept stopping every night and had to restart so might need looking at.
• A bit of mix up with our late check out as we arranged but got locked out as we were about to leave.

Overall great, quiet, private place and would recommend if your looking for north Island location. Can't wait to go back to Kauai.

Great location. 2021-06-20

By: Vickie R. Trip Date: 2021-06-10

This condo is decorated nicely with a stunning view. Great location in Princeville. We would walk across the grass to look around the corner at the best sunset view on the island. The problem with this condo is it is very hot in the afternoons, especially upstairs as there is no a/c. I normally am not a big a/c person, but it was too hot to be in the condo in late afternoon. Maybe at a cooler time of year it would be ok. In the evening, overnight and mornings, it was fine, even cool especially downstairs. We learned as the days went on (we had an 8 day stay), through trial and error, the best way to try and keep it cooler. Shut all blinds, turn all fans on (Remax brought us an extra). If you are a person that does not like heat, this would not be for you. I would suggest the owner put in a portable plug in a/c upstairs for sure and one down stairs to use in the latter part of day. A couple other problems with a window that would not open and the vertical blinds were a struggle every day to open and close. But location and decor and view were great. They just need to figure out the heat factor. I am forced to supply an answer to would I recommend to a friend..I don't want to say no or yes so disregard the answer. It would be a yes if the heat issue could be resolved bc it was a delightful area, and delightful unit most of the day.

Response from Remax Kauai:
Thank you for your feedback. We very much appreciate hearing about your experience and how we can improve. We are happy to hear you have enjoyed the property, the location and views. You will be happy to hear that we have spoken to the owner who has decided to purchase 2 portable AC units to be placed in the master bedroom and living room of the unit. Unfortunately, one can not be placed in the loft area due to no available window to allow venting.

A nice property but crowded and hot 2013-06-27

By: dave c. Trip Date: 2013-06-14

I really like the location of the Pali Ke Kua condo's. Easy walking distance to the princeville beach, view of the ocean and easy access to a walking trail.

We stayed in unit 241 which was clean and very nice inside. A little worn in places but overall very nice. Another positive is the 1000sq feet and the two beds in the second bedroom making it perfect for a family with more than one child.

On the downside the Pali Ke Kua is a very high density condo building that was built before insulation was required so get used to hearing your neighbors talk, shower, flush their toilets etc. If they come home drunk you get to enjoy that also.

I've stayed at the Pali Ke Kua twice and both time I have thought the value is excellent considering the views and location. Just be aware it isn't the most quiet location.

Very good overall, but with a couple issues 2013-10-08

By: Joyce M. Trip Date: 2013-09-03

Mostly I was quite happy with my stay: the place was reasonably clean and maintained, with decent furniture, and for the price, was actually excellent. The location was great, too. There are only two issues that were of any real concern to me: 1) As a woman who was staying there alone, I was conscious of security, and felt that breaking into the front door would've been quite easy. 2) The place did not have air conditioning which I have found to not normally be an issue on Kauai, but in this condo at this time of year, it did render the second floor (containing one of the two baths and bedrooms) completely uninhabitable because of the heat. Fortunately, since it was just me staying there, I just didn't go upstairs, but for anyone who would plan on using that second floor, it would've been misery for them because--no exaggeration--the temperture would rise to over 100F up there during the day. Even on the main floor where I remained during my stay, the temperature would be about 85F during the day with all the windows open to try to catch the cooling breezes, but with not enough help from that with an outside temperature in the high 80's to low 90's. Otherwise, the place was pleasant, clean, well-located, with decent amenities, and suited my needs very well -- especially since I didn't need to use the otherwise unusable upstairs bedroom and bathroom.

Relaxing condo - Great base for north side of island. 2013-10-30

By: Joseph K. Trip Date: 2013-10-15

My wife & I stayed here after our wedding on Oahu. We were very pleased using this as a base for exploring North Kauai. It is a slightly older condo which is great because it is one of the closer complexes in Princeville to the cliff overlooks of the ocean and the secret beach. It does lack 1 main amenity (A/C).
They did have 3 floor fans to help the ceiling fans. We were out during the heat of the day and were comfortable in the mornings and evenings.

The condo is large and has updates that we're not in the picture when we booked. Updates include, new flat screen TV in family room, new kitchen counters, new kitchen sink and faucet. It is a very short drive to Hanalei and not very far to the airport. Driving to the west and northwest side of the island can be a long trip.

Overall - pleased. Not the ritziest condo you can rent, but location is great, it was very clean and staff was helpful.

Review of Pali Ke Kua Unit #241 2014-01-30

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2014-01-06

Fabulous location on the north end of Kauai, close to beautiful beaches, magnificent golf courses, incredible scenery and the quaint but vibrant town of Hanalei. We were lucky to have arrived when the humpback whales were present and thoroughly enjoyed watching them from our balcony as they surfaced and breached out front.

An important thing to keep in mind is that, being near the extreme north end of the island, travel to Liuhe and to the south end of the island can take a while. But the amenities on the north end more than made up for that, we felt.

Unit #241 was spacious, clean and equipped with modern kitchen appliances, as well as WiFi and HD TV. Consequently we were able to buy and store groceries and cooked many of our own meals, making this a very economical vacation for us.

When we arrived at the unit, there were a few minor problems (e.g. screen door wouldn't slide) that were efficiently dealt with by the property management company. Unfortunately the dishwasher was out of commission for about a week pending repairs, but the owner agreed to refund us a reasonable amount per day, and the property manger did its best to have it repaired as quickly as possible.

On the whole, a great place to be, and a great vacation. Thanks!

My semi-perfect stay 2014-09-24

By: George P. Trip Date: 2014-09-13

We chose Pali Te Kua because it was close to the St. Regis due to a family wedding. The rental was great and well appointed, if a tad hot in the afternoon. It was obvious that care had gone into prepping the unit for our comfort. We'll be back!

Fees, Fees, and More Fees 2015-07-29

By: Megan H. Trip Date: 2015-07-23

In general the place was just fine. Good location, clean, not overly-Hawaii themed, OK view, nice patio, decently equipped. However, the wifi was very spotty and did not work well when I most needed it. Also, the property should not advertise for $175 / night when the fees bring you to $250 a night. Just be upfront about the cost of the rental from the get-go. I spoke with many other friends also staying nearby for a wedding and no one else had the extensive fees on top of their room price that we had to pay. Very disappointing to find out that we were "had" and could have stayed at somewhere just as nice for a lower price.

Response from Remax Kauai:
Aloha Megan, Trust you enjoyed some fun adventures and sights on this Garden Island of Kauai. We apologize you felt "had" as it is not our intention to hide any fees. When you booked this vacation rental online, the rental fees were detailed during the booking process in which you agreed to. These fees were also detailed in the agreement in which you signed. Should you return to Kauai and decide to rent through us again, we will extend a 10% discount to you. Mahalo & take care! RE/MAX Kauai Management

Love pkk. The location can't be beat. The price was reasonable. They provide many fans but it's still a warm unit given the location and no AC - especially the loft. We were there during May and I imagine mid summer would be pretty unbearable for me. That said it was clean quiet and just right for our stay other than that.

Pali Ke Kua 2016 2016-03-18

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2016-03-08

We arrived after 11 PM and had no problem gaining access to our room. Upon arrival we noticed the carpeting was stained and spotted in L.R. and D.R. Patio door was not on track properly, and patio screen had holes in it. Kitchen cabinets and woodwork looked weathered and worn, and one door did not close. Area around burners on stove was not clean. Floor in master bath was well worn and looked dirty. Tiles on floor of both shower stalls had mold in grout, and shower drains were rusty/dirty. The master sink did not drain properly and the plug did not close. Shower curtain was filthy and the curtain rings were rusty and dirty. We chose not to use the washer and dryer as both appeared dirty inside and out. The upstairs bath mirror was not useable. Due to slanted ceiling the mirror was only a couple of feet tall and went only up to chest level.
We awoke to a very pleasant view the 1st morning, and called Jackie @REMX re: the patio door problem(which was taken care of very promptly). The other issues did not seem "fixable" within the short time we were there so we decided to "live" with them. We did not have any issues w/ noise from any of the other units. 241 seemed secluded to us, and we liked the location. Only 1 time did we have parking issues, which I assume was due to business at HideAWay Pizza Pub. We were satisfied w/ the location/view. We spent most of our time away from the unit, but were disappointed in the overall condition of #241 compared to other places we have stayed in Princeville.

Response from Remax Kauai:
Aloha and Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at Pali Ke Kua #241. We appreciate all comments and you’ll be happy to know we are working to address your room concerns in upcoming replacements. The owner is working on replacing the kitchen appliances, renovating the upstairs bathroom and carpeting. Unfortunately these items take time and could not be completed prior to your stay. We are very sorry your expectations were not met but we are glad that you otherwise enjoyed your stay on the beautiful island of Kauai. RE/MAX Kauai

Roaches and mosquitoes 2023-06-18

By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2023-06-14

We spent one week in the south part of Kauai and then moved to Princeville to stay in this condo. We were in the condo for less than 24 hours and had killed multiple mosquitoes and roaches.
This rental is fairly clean and extremely sparse decor. This condo is lacking in hominess and comfort. There are three mobile type air conditioning units in the unit that are extremely loud. There are sunshades for the patio and there was a roach on one.
We contacted the after hours manager number 15 minutes after 6 PM. Neither number answered, but they did call us back hours later because she was having dinner and couldn’t answer the phone. I don’t understand having an after hours emergency number if they can’t answer because they are having dinner. (I do understand that we didn’t have an emergency but if we did, no one would answer)
If you do decide to stay there, make sure you read the fine print of the contract where it says if there are any pests in the unit, you will not get a refund. We just did not feel comfortable living in a unit with bugs crawling around. I don’t want to bring cockroaches home with me.

Response from Remax Kauai:
We appreciate your time and effort in leaving feedback regarding your recent stay. The North part of the island of Kauai is well known for its verdant valleys, waterfalls, and lush landscape. It is expected that there will be a higher likelihood of mosquitoes and other pests. There are quite a bit of articles & tips online about the local pests to expect during your vacation. We have all properties on routine pest control maintenance, and we could have scheduled a trouble call. Unfortunately, you did not provide us with that opportunity, and decided to immediately vacate the premises. There is verbiage stating that because we have no control over the island's inclement weather, and natural pests, we will not provide a refund because of those reasons to cancel or hastily vacate the properties. We expressed empathy and deviated from our policy to compromise by agreeing to allow you the remainder of your stay’s monetary value in the form of credit for your next visit should you choose to return. The owners attempt to provide a comfortable and attractive accommodation to everyone but with varying personalities of our guests, some will say less is more, and others such as yourself prefer to be encompassed by furniture and décor will say it's sparse. Regarding the portable air conditioners, unfortunately, this complex’s association does not allow central or split systems because they feel that the compressors will be imposing on the lanai and have a negative impact on the properties visual appeal. So, it was either the portable's or nothing. The after-hours contact should have been more readily available and not returned your call hours later as you mentioned. We are sorry you were further upset by being told that they were out to dinner as the reason why the call was not answered. We will discuss and implement changes for a better response time in the future. - RE/MAX Kauai Management

Beautiful place, great price, but unit needs a little TLC 2015-07-01

By: Kevrine W. Trip Date: 2015-06-19

Location is great, but this unit receives direct afternoon sun (we were there end of June) and gets uncomfortably hot. This complex would be better if there were some bbqs for use. The reason we stay in condos versus hotels is so we can cook our own meals! It was too hot to turn the oven on, and there were no bbqs allowed - so that was very disappointing. They also list accommodations for 6, but only had 4 coffee cups and 4 bowls. The sink in the downstairs bath didn't drain properly and the toilet upstairs didn't flush well. We had to take the lid off and untangle the chain every time we flushed. The carpeting really needs to be replaced - it was very old and dingy. Our refrigerator also broke while we were there, but Remax helped us resolve that professionally and quickly. Overall we had a great time. Hard not to in such a beautiful setting!!'
